John Harber started PCS Builder in November 2008 — at the depth of the housing crisis — because he believed that reliability, honest pricing, and a handshake you could trust would build a business that outlasted any market cycle. Seventeen years later, the principle still holds.
Before founding the company, John spent eight years at Savage Construction Co., moving from estimator to lead estimator to project manager on large custom homes and commercial projects. He learned the trade end-to-end: how to read plans, how to value-engineer without cutting corners, and how to build a reputation in a relationship-driven industry.
Today, PCS Builder has 48+ permitted projects on record across West Tennessee and North Mississippi — ranging from $15,000 renovations to a $1.2 million commercial interior. It has always been a family company. Now it's a family-run one.
